Banky W actor shares a director’s role with Clarence Peter to show appreciation to providence for his rise grass to grace in a simple title “Blessing Me”.
Though not a road show of a hustler pushing his wares along Lagos Street; the video began in a workshop of a welding engineer dressed in a work orange jumpsuit with others which indicate her diligence and hustle. This simply echoes Riri’s ANTI’s album track titled ‘Work’, but the RnB singer is not all out to tell about his side of hustle alone but, in simple lyrical verse praise God for the rewards he has earned on it. To show this transition, the video shifts from hustling scene to different choreographic dances led by him with different cars in the background. Banky is quick to issue his caveat that ‘No weapon version against him shall prosper’, possibly an allusion to a recent unfortunate experience in his house.
In a light verse that strolls around RnB but cannot be well-defined as purely it, Banky W could have tightened his lyrics with more words, pun and rhythm that tell story of his rise to success. However, after listening to this song, one should be thankful he has not wasted his four minutes.
