The truth is Trump is not having it right with most artistes in US and the world in general. During his campaign and eventual ascendancy as the President of United States, musical remarks about him have not been that of eulogy. The latest of this is from Eminem, one of the best American rappers. In a four-minute-long rap shot in a car park in Detroit, a hooded Eminem, also known as Marshall Mathers, launched an expletive-laden tirade against Trump while a group of young men watched on from the sidelines. The video was made for yesterday’s (Oct. 10) BET Hip Hop Awards.
In the rap, Eminem calls out Trump for being a “kamikaze” who will probably cause a “nuclear holocaust.” More, he also accuses the US president of distracting people’s attention from domestic crises like Puerto Rico or gun control by “causing a Twitter storm with the Packers” instead, referring to the furore surrounding some NFL players’ decision to kneel before the American flag in protest of the police.
It was not the first time of Eminem. He has previously accused Trump of US state fund for golf tourism and subtle support for white supremacists. Marshall Mathers in the final line later calls Trump a ‘sick tan’. Do we really have Nigerian artistes in the wake of such courage these days?
